Our goal is to be a socially and environmentally responsible company.  We also desire to be economically successful.  We believe that these two objectives are not mutually exclusive and can be met today without compromising the future.  To this end, we pledge to be an agent for positive change through our resource management and product offerings, in our client and supplier partnerships and most importantly in our communities.  We are committed to raising the bar and becoming an active citizen in the global effort to preserve our future.

Total Office Solutions’ Sustainability Policy

1.   Our Operations.  We will offer product and service solutions that permit our partners to be "green".  We will adopt technologies and policies that enable us to procure, sell and deliver our product and service solutions in a more environmentally responsible manner.  We will seek out opportunities to more efficiently use resources, save energy, reduce waste and encourage recycling.  

2.   Our Partnerships.  We will seek to understand the sustainability / environmental goals of our clients and suppliers.  We will offer solutions (both in what we offer and how we offer) that will encourage alignment and linkage of shared objectives.

3.   Our Culture.  We will pursue opportunities with our employees and our partners to raise awareness on social and environmental issues.  In partnership with our local communities, we will contribute our time, talents and financial resources to worthy social and environmental initiatives.

Total Office Solutions’ Sustainability Policy in Action

• Total Office Solutions offers nearly 2,500 products with recycled content to our customers. We commit to continually seek manufacturers that offer more ecologically responsible products and practices to our customers as well as encourage our own employees to make environmentally friendly choices when ordering products.
• Total Office Solutions has a recycling collection on-site for recyclable boxes, paper, plastic and glass.
• Total Office Solutions recycles laser / ink cartridges and packaging for our customers, as well as internally.
• Total Office Solutions recycles all equipment where possible by finding others who can use it and practices responsible disposal, if needed.
• Total Office Solutions offers recycling and disposal services and resources to customers.
• Total Office Solutions observes additional responsible practices like being energy efficient, reduction in paper usage and waste and offering e-invoices and e-statements to customers.
